FC Barcelona
FC Barcelona has struggled with financial woes over the last several years and that is one of the reason's Lionel Messi had to leave the club few years ago. However they have done well to cope with the financial issues and now seem to be getting back at their best both on and off the field. Their wage bill was capped due to La Liga's wage cap limit but with them doing well domestically and also playing in the Champions League have opened up some breathing space for them to sign new players.
FC Barcelona's Wage Bill 2024/25: Their current salary cap limit has been increased from €270 million in 2023/24 season to €436 million in the current season. However their actual wage bill is way under the limit now standing at only €201 million Euro (£166 million GBP). Their highest paid player right now is Robert Lewandowski who is on a massive contract and Barcelona also had to pay his defered salary payments.
