Atletico Madrid
Atletico Madrid is one of the top three teams in Spain for the best part of last 20 years. They have not only done well domestically but also in Europe they have reached Champions League final on couple of occassions. Their wage bill has also sky rocketed over the last 20 years and now they are only behind Barcelona and Real Madrid in terms of player wages in Spain. Since La Liga introduced the salary cap for all clubs in the League, Atletico have done very well under limited budget compared that of the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid.
Atletico Madrid 2024/25 Wage Bill: Atletico Madrid's this season's wage bill is €136 million Euro (£112 million GBP). That is third in the league only behind the big two. Atletico Madrid has largely kept their wage bill in check by not offering massive contracts to players. Their highest paid player is Jab Oblak who is currently on €17 million a year salary. While Antoine Griezmann is earning around €12.5 million a year salary. None of the other players are earning more then €8 Million a year.
