Aston Villa
Aston Villa has grown rapidly both in their performances on the pitch and their stature of it. Aston Villa now have investors from Saudi Arabia who are not scared to spend money on big name players. They recently brought Marcus Rashford on loan from Manchester United for rest of the 2025 season and will be paying 75% of his massive £325,000 a week salary. Their wage bill has also increased just as they made it back to the Champions League.
Aston Villa Wage Bill 2024/25: Their spending on wages increased from a mere £80 million a year to now £108 million a year in 2024/25 season putting them 6th on teams with highest wage bills in premier league. Having said that, their performances in the league and Europe has kind of merited the increase and it also show the owners are not afraid to spend big money.
