Pakistan cricket team is one of the 10 test playing nations and although they are not as good as they use to be in 90's and early 2000s, they can still pull crowd both at home and in neutral grounds. Players who represent Pakistan in international matches are under the Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) central contracts. We breakdown the PCB central contracts and how much each player who represent Pakistan is getting paid.
Pakistan Cricket Team Central Contracts 2024/25: Just like the other big cricket boards Pakistan also introduced Central Contracts in 2010s and they usually awarded only the regular international players with yearly contract however over the last few years The central contracts have been extended to include some of top domestic emerging talent pool as well. The 2024/25 Central Contracts include 25 players who are categorized in four categories. Each category player earn different yearly package and fixed match fee per match.

ICC Revenue Share Distribution: Pakistan players who are part of central contracts also get share of ICC revenue distributed to Pakistan cricket board. Category A players are paid around Rs. 2 million ($7000) per month while Category B are paid Rs 1.5 million ($5400). Category C is paid Rs 1 million ($3600) and Category D including 5 emerging players are paid Rs 515,000 ($1800) per month. It is to be noted that this ICC review share is on top of the monthly retainer fee which is listed above in the table.
Top players in category A who play for Pakistan Regularly can clear around Rs. 10 Crore ($350,000) in a year only from their Central Contracts. This looks good on paper but its very little compared to other top cricket boards where top players can clear over $1 million dollar a year from their central contracts.
