England Central Contracts For 2024/25:
England Cricket Board was the first to introduce 'Central Contracts' in cricket back in 2000. As of 2024/25, ECB has kind of evolved their Central Contracts to a level where both regular and rookie players are getting compensated very handsomly, however it comes with compromise for English cricketers who's availability for T20 domestic leagues around the world is dictated by English Cricket Board.
The new Central Contracts feature two categories. 1). Two Year Contract and 2). One Year Contract
Two Year Contract Is given to players who are regulars at international level for England. While 1 Year contract are for players who either only play in one format or are relatively new at International stage.
How much are Central Contracts worth?
Players included in the central contracts earn yearly guaranteed salary which can vary from £130,000 to £800,000 a year. Apart from the yearly retainer fee, English cricketers also earn per match basis. That includes, £12,500 per test, £5000 per ODI and £3000 per T20 match.
